How We Can Help Your Child
Paediatric orthopaedics is a branch of orthopaedics that treats children who may have injuries or conditions affecting their musculoskeletal system (bones, joints and muscles). It covers a wide variety of conditions some of which are listed below. If you are not sure if your child needs to see a paediatric orthopaedic specialist, please contact the team who will be able to guide you further.
The first step in the treatment of any child is always to meet them with their parents to help understand any ongoing problems. Only after we have taken a history and examined your child thoroughly would we suggest whether any further investigations or treatment may be necessary. Fortunately, surgery is not always required but if it is indicated, we will spend time with you and your child to discuss the procedure and recovery.
